Turneffe Island Resort,

Scuba diving at Turneffe Island Resort in Belize is a

unique experience! As a private island resort we

offer the best diving and most luxurious

accommodations in the Western Caribbean.

We are proud to offer access to over 70 dive sites

within minutes of our island, including the world famous Elbow.

Our exclusive dive program consists of 15 dives a week – 2 on Sunday, Monday and Friday, 3 on Tuesday,

Wednesday and Thursday. Usually the first dive is at 8:15 am, the second around 10:30 am and the last dive at 3:00 pm. Most of the dive sites are 5 to 10 minutes from the Resort and we return to the island for all of our surface intervals. We also offer Nitrox for those who are certified. The dive shop has rental equipment for both diving and snorkeling. During the week we schedule a trip to Lighthouse Reef to dive the Blue Hole.  Our dive staff will inform you of the schedule for the week and will be happy to answer any additional questions you may have. If you are a non-diver who enjoys snorkeling, you may want to consider doing an introduction dive with one of our instructors

Cozumel

Diver's paradise!!  On average, the island stays around a blissful 80 degrees. The summers are slightly warmer, ranging in the mid 80s to 90s and the winters cool to the mid 70s. It's always a beach day in Cozumel, as the water ranges from a warm 77 to 82 degrees throughout the year.

Cozumel is home to the largest reef system in the Americas, the Mesoamerican Reef. Teeming with hundreds of tropical fish, turtles and other vibrant sea life, it is truly a diver's dream. But even if you don't explore down into the depths of the ocean, there is much to see for snorkelers too. There are as many as 250 different species of tropical fish including the queen angelfish and the illusive toadfish, seen nowhere else in the world.

Above the sparkling surface of the water, the trees are speckled with frigate birds, brown pelicans, olivaceous cormorants and others. If you look closely, you may catch a glimpse of a tree frog, a crocodile or the prehistoric iguana resting in the lush vegetation. But no worries, our locals are the friendliest in the world.
